Hi my name is Jono Theron, also known as DJ Jon Savvage,

For 15 years, I served as an EMS Paramedic and Chaplain, dedicated to saving lives and lending a helping hand to those in their darkest hours.

On September 5th, 2023, my life took an unexpected turn. A motor vehicle accident left me with multiple fractures in his thoracic spine, and destroying the disk between my L4 and L5 vertebrae.

Consultations with specialists unveiled the harsh reality: My spine bears the marks of mild osteoporosis, exacerbating the fractures. I now grapples with permanent damage to my spinal cord and nerves in the L4-L5 region, alongside a debilitating degenerative disc disease, for which there is no cure.

Initially, we held onto hope that time would heal my wounds. But as months passed, the fractures showed no signs of recovery. Instead, a grim discovery emerged: I was diagnosed at the end of January with Multiple Myeloma, a very rare blood cancer wreaking havoc in the fractured vertebrae and preventing the bones from healing. Multiple Myeloma also destroys your immune system, making me vulnerable to any illnesses, which have the potential to become life threatening at any time.

The excruciating pain I have to endure daily is now compounded by the necessity of chemotherapy, a treatment notorious for its staggering costs.
